A court order supplies legal authority, but processing can make its time different from the checkout time.

Stokes County Jail Release Records

The physical facility is at 1013 North Main Street in Danbury. The official Stokes County Jail page supplies the facility contact and distinguishes local jail information from outsourced inmate mail.

The official facility details anchor any release inquiry to Danbury. An outside mailing vendor should never replace that physical and records contact.

Where Stokes Jail Mail Goes

The distinctive local naming issue extends to mail. Inmate mail is outsourced to a Greensboro post-office box and must use Stokes County Detention Center, the inmate’s name and ID, and Facility ID 5187. That Greensboro address is not a visitor entrance, release point, records office, or family waiting site. Mail for the jail itself uses P.O. Box 248 in Danbury.

Keeping these addresses separate prevents a serious travel error. A person seeking release status should call the Danbury jail. A records requester should contact Sheriff administration. A sender following current inmate-mail rules should use the designated vendor address. None of those channels publishes where a released person will exit or wait.

Stokes County Jail Release Details

The county does not publish routine release-processing times, a public exit door, weekend or holiday practice, a family waiting area, property-return steps, a ride-home program, or a county gate-money policy. Neither fact proves a release. Bond Total is an amount associated with the booking; it does not show that payment was accepted or jail processing finished.

After Stokes County Jail Release
